April 2014 Member of the Month
April 2, 2014

The Natrona County Prevention Coalition Member of the Month of April 2014 is Pam Evert with Wyoming Medical Center Safe Communities/Safe Kids (WMC SC/SK). Pam’s dedication to educate our community with Safe Communities Region II about drunk driving, texting and driving, seat belt use, and child passenger safety helped reduce DUIs in Natrona County by 24% in the grant year 2012-2013. With Safe Kids Central Wyoming, Pam educated the community about injury prevention for ages 0-8 years old through booths, events, and presentations.

Though Pam’s work and the subsequent outcomes with WMC SK/SC speaks for itself, it is important to note that Pam has supported NCPC’s mission to prevent substance abuse in our community by providing healthy and positive choices. She has participated in NCPC meetings and planning meetings that serve as a steering committee for several substance free programs in the community. She continues to provide and promote substance free activities for WMC SC/SK, such as the upcoming Safe Kids Day at the Casper Recreation Center (May 3, 2014 from 9am-1pm).

WMC SC/SK participates with NCPC in order to collaborate with other agencies on alcohol issues. We are proud to have Pam and Wyoming Medical Center Safe Communities/Safe Kids be a part of NCPC!

Thank you, Pam, for your unwavering dedication to our community and the children in our community. We are glad to have you as a part of NCPC and honored you are our April, 2014 Member of the Month.
