The NCPC May, 2014 Member of the Month is John Kirlin. John’s work with the Casper Family YMCA has made a deep impact on the youth in our community. His dedication and work clearly center on the Casper Family YMCA’s Vision and three areas of focus;
Youth Development Healthy Living Social Responsibility
John will be participating in the Bike Safe Casper 24hr Bike Ride. This ride is an awareness event to help promote bicycle advocacy and safety in Casper. Donations to support additional bicycle safety facilities such as paths, lanes, racks, and more will be thankfully accepted.
The Casper Family YMCA will be sponsoring the Casper Area Mountain Bike Youth Racing team (CAMBRYR) for their annual fundraising event. We will be hosting a triathlon along with the team, using the YMCA Aquatics facility and personnel. Proceeds will go toward CAMBYR seasonal race expenses.
June 12-25, John will be participating in The Wild West Mu-Cycle Tour. He will be riding all across Wyoming to promote bicycle safety and awareness through music and entertainment. Funds raised will go toward a bike safety promotional video as well as youth outdoor programs through the Casper Family YMCA.
When asked why he participates with NCPC John responds “I participate with NCPC because I believe in supporting the youth of the community and providing them with a safe means to leading an active and healthy lifestyle.” We believe John’s participation with NCPC and his work with the Casper Family YMCA and other youth activities shows his dedication to our community.
John and his Casper Family YMCA colleagues are proud to announce that in the last year, their Before and After School Programs have just about tripled in size and number of children served; what a great accomplishment. Keep up the great work!
Thank you, John, for your unwavering dedication to the youth of Casper, Natrona County, and Wyoming. We are glad to have you as a part of NCPC and honored you are our May, 2014 Member of the Month.
