Family Game Night 2021
The 6th annual Family Game Night- The Game of LIFE: Drive-Thru Edition!
Thank you for joining us at our FREE & fun family game-night with giveaways!
One of the goals of the Natrona County Prevention Coalition (NCPC) is to bring families together for fun activities that promote healthy interactions and bonding. We know the importance of family time when it comes to protecting and preparing our youth for their futures. “Family (time) has been linked to a lower risk of obesity, substance use, eating disorders, and an increased chance of graduating high school.“ - The University of Florida. Research shows that youth who spend at least two nights a week with their parents are less likely to experiment with drugs and alcohol at an early age.
In the spirit of promoting stronger families and healthy youth year round, our sponsors made it possible for NCPC to give new board games to families to take home and play together throughout the year. Along with board games, families also received:
Healthy recipes to cook together from Cen$able Nutrition
Art activities to do together from the Nicolaysen Art Museum
“Safer Lock” medication locking caps from the Casper-Natrona County Health Department
and families with young children (birth to 5) received goodie bags from the Early Childhood Action Alliance with items promoting early childhood development and preschool/kindergarten readiness.
